    Membership Benefits

    ACADEMICS

    • Lambda Chi Alpha's members' GPA is almost always higher than the all-mens' average at UNO.
    • Our members have a broad range of majors: Business, Physics,  Aviation, Criminal Justice--just to name a few. No matter your major, you'll have someone you trust who can assist you in selecting the best teachers available and provide any necessary academic help.

    NETWORKING

    • Are you a student looking for a leg-up on job-market competition post graduation?
    • We have numerous alumni working in the Omaha area at top companies such as Union Pacific, TD Ameritrade, and IBM, among others.

    ATHLETICS

    • Lambda Chi competes in intramural sports on UNO's campus. As a member of Lambda Chi, you can participate in any and all of the sports listed below for free.
    • We participate in Football, Baseball, Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Hockey, Golf, Wrestling, Bowling, Racquetball.
    • This year, Lambda Chi took second place overall in the Sports Cup standings, while taking first in Football and second in Baseball. 

    SOCIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Hay-rack rides
    • Sorority Exchanges
    • Formals, including a spring formal in Kansas City, MO. Lambda Chi is the only fraternity on UNO's campus that has a formal outside of Omaha.

    PHILANTHROPIES

    • Bounce-A-Thon (Fall)--LCA members, teamed with a sorority, bounce on trampolines for 24 hours in the pep-bowl to raise money for our national philanthropic organization, the North American Food Drive.
    • Pumpkin Smash (Fall)--A pumpkin olympics, if you will. Sororities at UNO compete through a series of pumpkin events for one large trophy. All proceeds go to the North American Food Drive.
    • Watermelon Bash (Spring)--Our newest philanthropy. A spin-off of Pumpkin Smash, except in the spring.

    LEARNING

    • Listen to guest speakers throughout the year speak about alcohol, diversity, unity, job opportunities, etc.
